ORDERING & SHIPPING POLICY
Orders may be placed on-line or by email. If the order is for blank stock, it may be placed by phone. After submitting your order, you will receive a confirmation via email. You will also receive an email when your order ships. If you have questions, please call or email us at sales@smilingwalrus.com. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
If you need to give us specific instructions or add more detail about your order, use the "Special Instructions" box when customizing your order. Any request or need that you have, add it to this box!
Orders for blank stock ship in 1-3 business days depending on stock availability. Orders for personalized product ship within 4-5 business days from approval of the proof. If you need an order rushed, call us toll-free at 877-597-4520 for information.
If you would like a sample of a product, call us at 877-597-4520, and we will send one to you! Samples are available on most invitations but not all. All samples are sent US Mail. Please limit your free samples to 3 choices. Some samples may incur a fee.
If you have a promotion code from an email or another source, enter your promotion number or word(s) in the space provided upon check out. Your discount will be subtracted from your total.
Call for special discount pricing for orders over 1000 units.
We are happy to extend a 10% discount and no sales tax to non-profit organizations. We do require appropriate documentation.
RETURN POLICY
SmilingWalrus is committed to the highest level of customer satisfaction. Our goal is for each step from searching for the perfect card on our website to sending your invitation to your guests be as easy and pleasing as possible.
Smiling Walrus gladly accepts returns on non-customized items for a full refund or exchange within 21 days. Freight charges must be paid. Please enclose a copy of your invoice when returning goods.
Sales merchandise and items on special are not returnable. All sales are final. As well, printed or customized items are final sales. Printed or customized items may be cancelled after placing the order for a $15 fee until the items are ordered or printed. If the items have been printed or ordered, they are non-refundable. All sales are final.
PERSONALIZATION SERVICES
You may place an order and typeset your card on-line or email us your order and text. If you do not use our on-line typesetting service, there is a $5 fee for typesetting and proofing.
Ordering and typesetting on-line is very easy on our site. After choosing the design, hit "Typeset Your Card" either under "We Personalize For You" or, if available, "Print It Now". An image of the card will appear along with a typesetting toolbox. Then typeset your verse and change the font, color, size, etc. – you will see the changes as you make them. The image that appears will be very close to the actual product. Once you are satisfied with what you see on the screen, save your project.
If you are using "Print It Now" and printing the cards yourself, print a proof. After reviewing the proof, reload your project, make any final changes, make your purchase and print it yourself using blank card stock from Smiling Walrus or your local office supply store.
If Smiling Walrus is printing your card for you, complete your purchase. Smiling Walrus will email you a proof within 1-2 business days. After a proof is approved, your order is fulfilled and then shipped to you within 4-5 business days. If there are changes, there is a $5.00 fee for the changes and subsequent proof. Smiling Walrus cannot be responsible for errors on your typesetting. If you need an order rushed, call us toll-free at 877-597-4520 for information. It is possible to cancel an order for a $15 fee if the items have not been printed or ordered. However, once items have been customized or ordered, it is not possible to cancel the order.
Our stationery consultants are trained to proofread all orders for spelling, grammar, wording and etiquette however, we cannot verify some customer errors, especially the spelling of proper names, unusual event location, town or street names, the date of your event or anything else out of the norm so please review your wording carefully. We encourage you to check your online preview thoroughly before submitting your order or, in the case of a proof, to check it thoroughly.
Mistakes happen. We understand this. If Smiling Walrus makes a mistake when printing an order, we will fix the error. Our expert consultants try to catch any errors you may make, but we cannot guarantee this. If you do make a mistake when ordering (spell a host's name wrong or use an incorrect address or the date of the party changes) and must do a reorder, Smiling Walrus will help you by offering a discount on the new invitations. Call us, and we will work it out together. The recipient must still pay shipping costs.

In addition, most designs can be produced in other formats according to your particular needs, such as: direction cards, menu cards, response cards, reception cards, program cards, table cards and place cards that match their invitations.
ENVELOPES
Pre-ordering envelopes is an added service provided by Smiling Walrus. Many customers find it very helpful to be
able to address the envelopes ahead of time.
In order to do so, you must select an announcement or
invitation and place the order, including payment. On the order form, just note
that you would like the envelopes ahead of time. You can also note that the personalized text will be provided in
the future, for instance, in the case of a baby that has not been born as yet. Don't forget that Smiling Walrus can also
print your return address on the envelope if desired.
